RackIT Sports: First Install, First Steps

Pickleball is growing faster than any sport in America. Courts are packed, rallies are faster, and players are more competitive than ever. But one thing hasn’t caught up: the technology that makes the game fairer, smarter, and more fun.

At RackIT Sports, we’re building a computer vision system designed for pickleball from the ground up. Our mission is simple: bring clarity, data, and excitement to the court so players can focus on playing, not arguing.

Our First Milestone: Live at DiNK'D

This past weekend, we hit a major milestone — the very first RackIT Vision beta system was installed at DiNK'D Pickleball in Augusta, GA.

DiNK'D is more than a facility. It’s a hub for passionate players and a community that embodies what pickleball is all about. Their courts are now home to the start of our journey, and their players will be the first to help shape the future of this technology.

Learning Phase: Training the Ball Tracker

The first step of any great vision system is learning. Right now, our system is capturing rallies, collecting images, and perfecting the automated line calling system. Every dink, drive, and smash adds to our dataset — teaching the AI how to follow the ball with speed and precision.

This phase is about building accuracy. Before we can call lines or keep score, the system needs to see the ball clearly, in all conditions, from every angle. That’s what the next several weeks are all about.

What’s Next

As our system learns and improves, the first features players will see on the court are:

• Ball velocity – real-time shot speeds right on the screen.

• Ball location – tracking exactly where shots land on the court.

From there, we’ll unlock new possibilities step by step:

• Purchase your game video with overlays of ball velocity and placement.

• Automated line calling and scoring.

• Player profiles where athletes can own and share their data.

It’s a journey, and the DiNK'D community will be the first to walk it with us.
